Founding Engineer (Full Stack)
Founding Full-Stack Engineer
Zippex is rewriting how people buy, sell, and move stuff around their city — safely, instantly, and without the Facebook-Marketplace-roulette energy. As a Founding Engineer, you’ll be one of the people who actually make this thing work. Not theoretically. Literally.
If you like shipping fast, breaking the “impossible,” and seeing your code impact thousands of real people in the real world, this is your playground.
What You’ll Build
You’ll work across everything that makes Zippex feel magical:
Real-time delivery tracking that actually… updates in real time
Smooth P2P transaction flows (Pay & Deliver, verifications, escrow logic)
High-density routing, pooling logic, and driver assignment
Full-stack features across RN, Firebase, GCP, Stripe, Node, and Next.js
Internal tools, dashboards, and systems that keep the city running
New features we can’t publish here because competitors read these pages 👀
This is not a “fix button colors all day” role. This is “build the engine of a new category” energy.
What Success Looks Like
You ship things that make people go:
“Wait… how is a tiny team doing this?”
Drivers feel the app is built for them.
Buyers and sellers feel safe.
The system feels as smooth as it looks.
And you leave fingerprints across the entire product.
Your Day-to-Day (roughly)
Architect → Build → Ship → Iterate → Scale
Jump from front-end to back-end like a feral raccoon with WiFi
Pair-build routing logic that would make Uber’s early engineers nod
Make complex flows feel like butter on mobile
Talk directly with users who don’t care about your abstractions, only results
Own whole features. Like seriously own them. Name them if you want.
Who You’ll Thrive Here If You Are
Someone who gets bored when things are predictable
The type who learns a new tech because it looked cool, not because someone assigned it
Comfortable writing both beautiful UI components and terrifying cloud functions
Hungry to build a product that’s actually used, not buried in a Jira graveyard
Someone who likes speed, clarity, and clean systems
You’ll Love This Role If
You want equity to mean something
You want to work directly with the founder, not three layers removed
You want your work to show up in release notes every week
You want to help shape engineering culture from day zero
You want the rare “holy shit, we actually built this” feeling
